This was a closed competition organized by the ministry of commerce, for the design of the premier institute in the field of design of footwear and leather accessories. The design was awarded second prize.
The design revolves around a hierarchy of courtyards defining each function like design studios, lecture halls, laboratory, and workshop blocks. The series of courtyards integrate into one large courtyard having the administration block around it.
The campus is inter-linked through separate long semi-covered pathways with trellises interlinking the academic zone to the residential zone of hostel and faculty housing. The academic zone and residential zones are bifurcated by a large green buffer zone. The common facilities like auditorium, amphitheatre and swimming pool, etc. Are located here.
The entire campus is pedestrianized. All buildings are connected and can be approached with peripheral roads.
