An office cum residential facility for the Regional office of the the Council of the Indian School Certificate examination is proposed in a 1 acre site. The office includes board room, training room, cafeteria, library. The residential facility with single and double occupancy rooms is proposed for the visiting Principals and teachers affiliated to ICSCE, members of the board , ICSCE staff and guests.
The plot has been divided into two distinct blocks of Administration and residential with a large common pedestrian plaza covered with a space frame in between. The entrance lobby of the two blocks have a visual connection beyond the central plaza with large glazing. A central atrium with office spaces in the two wings on either side form the administration block. The residential block has a central courtyard with rooms opening into the passage along the atrium.
The ground floor of the two blocks have their dining/cafeteria opening into the common landscaped sunken courtyard beyond the plaza. This acts as a spill over space for large gatherings. The whole layout concept is inward looking.
