ALTIUS International school, Sonepat

Instituitional

The proposed English-medium school of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at Sonepat is designed to meet the dynamic requirement of the new education policy NEP 2020. It will cater to students from Pre-Primary to Senior Secondary.

The school has been designed in two halves such as to segregate the Pre-Primary section consisting of two floors, from the Middle and Senior school with separate entry points into the building. They are interlinked on the upper floor to the rest of the school. The building is shaped such as to get a large magnificent view from the main road with separate entry for the buses. The boarding and de-boarding are restricted to the backside of the premises for safety and security reasons.

The principal's room is right in the centre above the double-height entrance portico, with the library block above. All the sports activities have been clubbed into one block abutting the canteen which has a spill over space beyond. The various utility services are in the basement. Ample area has been provided for outdoor sports activities.

The school building has been designed as inward-looking where the corridors from the classrooms lead to wide open courtyards on the ground floor which works as interactive spaces for the children. A large open-air amphitheatre opens up beyond the entrance acting as a culmination point for the students.
