Anganwadi is a rural center to bring the women and children into the ambit of the improvement of health, education and awareness of their rights through interactive learning, vocational training, basic education, and a sense of safety and security.
The design is based on the aspirations of the users, local design skills and creativity of the craftsmen around. We adopted low-cost construction through the use of local materials and craftsmen.
The unique chaupal provided acts as a spillover without infringing on other functional activities. The interactive open space in the center provides for community gatherings and a play area for children in an enclosed environment.
In the balwadi area, children learn to live as a community, eat and play in the hygienic surroundings.
